Wine-stable package infection?

I upgraded to the latest wine-stable package this morning and a few minutes later I received an alert from Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) that 25 .exe files in the ‘/wine/lib/win/’ folder were deleted due to infections of Heur.AdvML.B

Next, I tried running a program under wine that requires mono, and after installing, I received a SEP notice that ‘installinf-x86.exe’ was quarantined due an infection of Trojan.Gen.2

I just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue in case this package was tampered with.

I’ve observed similar - have you heard anything further through other channels?

virustotal says it’s fine

Virus checkers on macOS are a waste of your time.

Actually, I’m seeing boatloads of virus/suspicious program warnings/detections under Windows Defender (Windows 10) as well, so I think it’s safe to say that’s a general Wine issue.
