Using Apple Server to remotely push Updates

(Dustin B) #1

So as the topic says, since I now have a working installation script I’m looking to try and centralize the management portion.

If anyone here has used Apple Server you might get my frustration.

Anyways I’m attempting to send some otherwise simple commands to a laptop I’ve installed brew on, specifically brew update

These same commands work from the local terminal without issue.

The resulting feedback from Apple Server is “command not found”. I’m reasonable certain this is because the path isn’t listed in echo $PATH

Any recommendations to resolving this?

Just use the full path for brew /usr/local/bin/path or add /usr/local/bin to your path. This isn’t really homebrew or macOS specific though.
