Ungoogled Chromium

You have not updated to version 83: when will that take place?

When someone makes a pull request to change it. Why not do it yourself?

Homebrew is a community-driven project, so why not help out? https://docs.brew.sh/How-To-Open-a-Homebrew-Pull-Request

Because I don’t know how to do that.

https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-cask/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#updating-a-cask will help you with it.

I followed the instructions there, and finished with cask-repair ungoogled-chromium.

After it updated the taps, the feedback: No such cask was found in any official repo (ungoogled-chromium).

What does this mean?

It means that you got it from some unofficial tap and you’ll have to file an issue there since it’s not in any of the official homebrew taps.

I am sorry, it is not ungoogled-chromium but eloston-chromium I installed, as per the UC Github page.

So, I redid cask-repair, this time with the right name. Adter updating taps it asked for the version, which I typed as 83, and eventually got this message:

Type the new version (or leave blank to use current one, or use `s` to skip)
> 83

You should probably use the official version numbers listed in their homepage: https://ungoogled-software.github.io/ungoogled-chromium-binaries/

You’ll also see the real reason why the cask hasn’t been updated.

OK, thanks for your help.
