Hundreds of brew audit result errors, normal?

(John) #1

I am a new user and out of curiosity ran brew audit --strict. I received hundreds of errors. Do these require fixing?

Error: 253 problems in 90 formulae

I ran the following if it helps diagnose:

$ brew doctor

This is expected behaviour. Strict audits aren’t fixed immediately and they provide good things for new contributors to work on. If you’re interested, could you try and open a pull request? This document should help and we’re happy to walk you through anything else.
