Whenever I open a new terminal tab,it displays:

Error: No available formula with the name “homebrew/php/php56”
Please tap it and then try again: brew tap homebrew/php

Since homebrew-php is deprecated, after search the internet, I can not find a way to fix it, so, what should I do about it?

Look in your shell config, (.bashrc, .zshrc, .bash_profile) for configuration that tries to read from those formulae.

The tap homebrew/php is gone, not available any more. There are lots of posts on these forums on how to handle this transition, and how to install additional modules.

At least for the simple case, you’ll need to uninstall your current/old php, brew untap homebrew/php, and then brew install php@5.6.
