Good Python-based package recipe

(Yaroslav Halchenko) #1

I am new to brew (but have experience with packaging for Debian). Is there a good example for a Python-based brew package? In my case want to package our https://github.com/datalad/datalad/ . All dependencies are available either within brew (git-annex) or from pip, and it follows setuptools etc “standard” of Python packaging so should be relatively straight-foward to package.

Thanks in advance for references or any help

ansible.rb is probably a good example to look at.

Is there anything similar for Perl? Some way to “simulate” Perl dependency?
