Curl errors preventing installs on Mac Sierra

Example below. It seems that https download always fails with “Server aborted the SSL handshake” error, and subsequent unsafe download fails with “Empty reply from server”.

Anyone see this issues? Any advise would be much appreciated.

Are you behind any proxy? If so, you need to configure curl to use that proxy.

This answer explains how to do that.

No I do not. I do use VPN; so I tried it with it off, but no difference.

It looks like there was a problem with my DNS configuration. Fixing that resolved that issue. Thanks for the help.
