Cannot link wget

macos 10.13.4.; iTerm2 3.1.6; zsh Shell.
Error: Linking /usr/local/Cellar/wget/1.19.5…
Error: Could not symlink share/locale/be/LC_MESSAGES/wget.mo
/usr/local/share/locale/be/LC_MESSAGES is not writable.

brew link wget --force

Check permissions on the various directories in /usr/local, including the one it’s complaining about. Generaly most dirs and subdirs in /usr/local should be owned by your mac username who is using homebrew. For ex. my current permissions in /usr/local/ look like this:
